We have signed an exclusive partnership with Pureti, an international provider of unique paint and finishing solutions.

Thanks to Pureti and its patented technology, the painted surfaces are made depolluting.

The way it works

The coating that we use is a Mediafield exclusivity for the Belgium OOH market. It contains a patented Titanium Dioxyde technology that activates the Air Purifying process.

The Air Purifying process

The coating we use enters in action when light activates a photocatalysis on the surface of our murals. Photocatalysis is a chemical reaction that removes common pollutants in the atmosphere, such as NOx, SOx, VOCs, through an oxidation process activated by solar energy. The most commonly used photocatalyst is Titanium Dioxyde (TiO2).

The photocatalytic process activated by the coating we use turns the polluted nitrates into harmless nitrates. In other words, the unique coating that we use breaks down polluted nitrates into tiny and harmless salts. These harmless salts just end up on the surface of our Air Purifying Murals, leaving the air of our cities fresher & cleaner.

Like the natural process happening in a forest after a storm, our coating naturally generates on oxidation on the surface where it has been applied, and this environment acts like a reactor where polluting or toxic substances are broken down, thus improving the Air quality of our cities.

This purifying process is not limited in time. It’s active as long as our Air Purifying Murals are in contact with the air & sunlight.

Numbers about this disruptive technology

Tests carried out in Italy have proven NO2 reductions of 8-17 % NO2 concentrations. This is more than the NO2 reduction generated by the same surface of city trees, according to various other studies.

In other words, 100m2 of our Air Purifying Murals have the same NO2 Purifying effect as 100 mature trees.
